IPL 2023 – Qualification Conundrum for RCB, MI and RR
Well If you enjoy roller coasters and if you like cricket, then IPL 2023 is the right fit for you!
In Yesterday’s match (68th Match, 21st May) Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) locked their place for the eliminator spot with the barest of margin just by 1 run. Now the table is open for one spot for the eliminator, which will be between: RCB, RR and MI.
Lets see the current point table:
Cracker of Matches 21st May 2023
- MI vs SRH
- RCB vs GT
Chances for RCB
- With a healthy NRR, RCB is currently sitting on 4th rank, but for them the uphill task is to beat the best team of this IPL. Before the start of this match itself, RCB will know if they need to just win this match or with some margin, based on the previous game of MI vs SRH. If MI loses the previous match, then even if they lose they can still qualify making sure their NRR doesn’t dip too much.
- Possibility: Tough challenge for RCB, as the last encounter is with the best team. The only positive they have is they gained some momentum from the last few matches, they need to continue doing that, who knows if it’s RCBian day!
Chances for MI
- As the NRR is the lowest among RCB, RR and MI, so for them to qualify they have to win this match, which will make their points tally to 16. And they have to win this match with a good or big margin, so even if RCB will win tonight, they can still compete against their NRR.
- Possibility: MI have a great chance to snatch a victory against the lowest ranking team this year and that too with a big margin. If they bat first they need to make sure they are scoring 220+, and if they bowl first then try restricting them below 150.
Chances for RR
- If RCB and MI both lose their game today, and if RCB lose by some margin, so their NRR dip from +0.180 to +0.148, then only RR can qualify.
- Possibility: Well this scenario will be of the least of probability. For this to happen, RR can just pray and hope things went their way.
So lets witness both cracker game today, hope you enjoy your Sunday double dhamaka!
